When to Arrive

Gates open to the public on Friday morning.
If you're coming with a village, you can set up on Thursday afternoon, but please let villages@emfcamp.org know first.

When to Leave

Attendees must leave site by midday Monday unless they're helping with site teardown.

By Car

If you're coming by car, we strongly recommend you arrange to share in advance. We have limited space for parking and you'll need to buy a ticket. See below if you're willing to share a lift.

EMF is two minutes drive from the junction of the A3 & A31. Do not follow the signs to Loseley House - they will take you to the wrong entrance to the site. If using satnav, use the postcode GU3 1HY - the entrance to the site is on New Pond Road. If approaching from the A3, you'll see a Loseley Park Wedding Festival sign.

Directions

  • On the A3 just south of Guildford, take the B3000 exit (Godalming/Farnham)
  • Head east, following the signs towards Compton/Godalming.
  • After about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) you should see the EMF entrance on your left.

By Bike

The nearby railway stations are all a short bike ride away.

By Train / Bus

By train, we are close to Guildford, Farncombe, and Godalming stations on the Waterloo-Portsmouth Harbour line. London-Farncombe train times.

Note: only the front 8 carriages of the train open at Farncombe.

We will be operating a free shuttle bus service from Farncombe Station to the EMF site on Friday, Saturday, and Monday. On Sunday the shuttle bus will go to Guildford station as there are more trains from there. There will be approximately four journeys per hour between the following times:

Day Start Time End Time
Friday 10:00 21:00
Saturday 09:00 15:00
Sunday 12:00 22:00
Monday 08:00 13:00

These are the times within which the shuttle bus operates. If you need to catch the last bus in either direction, allow up to 30 minutes earlier than the times posted.

There are no other suitable bus services in the area. Farncombe station is about a 25 minute walk away from the EMF site, however part of this involves walking along a busy main road with no pavement (sidewalk). We recommend you use the shuttle bus.

Air/Sea

For international visitors, the site is 30-50 minutes by road from both Heathrow (LHR) and Gatwick (LGW) airports, or alternatively 90 minutes drive from the Eurotunnel terminal. Other airport choices would involve a longer journey.

The easiest transport to EMF would be a pre-booked car service to/from the airport, costing around 40-50GBP. You could reduce the cost with the 'Lift Sharing' links below!

You can also catch a train from Gatwick Airport to Guildford once an hour, and then change to Farncombe to catch the shuttle bus to EMF (above), costing about 14GBP each way (buy tickets at the station). See traintimes.org.uk or National Rail Enquiries for times.

From Heathrow there is a National Express coach service to Woking train station costing about 11 GBP, and then change for a direct train to Farncombe to catch the shuttle bus to EMF.
