2m Trophy Contest (Amateur Radio village)

It's the 144MHz Trophy Contest over the weekend, which is a good time to come and try out contesting if you're interested!

144MHz Trophy Contest webpage

Dominic (M0DLX) is planning to enter in the 6 Hours Other/Open section, where we can commit for up to six hours in one or more blocks, and work with multiple operators from a fixed or portable site. The plan is to walk up to the Eastnor Obelisk area on the hillside and run a portable station from a battery.

The equipment I've got:

  • Icom IC-706mkIIg transceiver
  • 2m yagi/beam + pole
  • battery

Need to confirm which callsign to use on the day.

If you'd like to come along, please do. Licensed amateurs can operate under the same callsign as it's multi-operator, non-amateurs are welcome to watch and listen. A second person can be useful for logging (do bring headphones if you can)!
