It's the 144MHz Trophy Contest over the weekend, which is a good time to come and try out contesting if you're interested!

The plan

Dominic (M0DLX) is planning to enter in the 6 Hours Other/Open section, where we can commit for up to six hours in one or more blocks, and work with multiple operators from a fixed or portable site. The plan is to walk up to the Eastnor Obelisk area on the hillside and run a portable station from a battery.

Equipment

  • Icom IC-706mkIIg transceiver
  • 2m yagi/beam + pole
  • battery
