Electromagnetic Field (EMF) is a non-profit UK camping festival for those with an inquisitive mind or an interest in making things: hackers, geeks, scientists, engineers, artists, and crafters.

In the summer of 2012 and the summer of 2014, we gathered hundreds of people in a field outside Milton Keynes for three days of talks and workshops covering everything from genetic modification to electronics, blacksmithing to high-energy physics, reverse engineering to lock picking, computer security to crocheting, and quadcopters to beer brewing.

To help matters along, we arranged a high-speed internet connection, reliable WiFi, and a bar stocked with real ale.

Now we're back in 2016 for the next edition: Electromagnetic Field 2016 will take place on the 5-7th of August in Loseley Park, near Guildford!

Only -2316 days until EMF2016!

Ticket sales are not yet open. There is a list of talks and workshops which you can add to by filling in our Call for Participation. There will also be a number of other workshops and events run by various villages, workshops for kids and a science fiction film made during the event.

At each EMF event we give our attendees a great camp badge. Not just a 'Hello my name is" sticker but a nice fun piece of technology that they can take away and use after the event. Information about past Badges including TiLDA, SiNE and our next badge can be found here.

Help the environment and others to get to EMF by car sharing.

I want to help!

EMF is entirely organised and run by a dedicated team of volunteers. We're looking for people to help with everything from power and networking to providing information and the bar.

If you're interested in helping make EMF happen, please make sure the volunteer box is selected when purchasing your EMF ticket. You can contact us with any volunteering queries at volunteer@emfcamp.org.
