Electromagnetic Field is a non-profit UK camping festival for those with an inquisitive mind or an interest in making things: hackers, geeks, scientists, engineers, artists, and crafters. Our next event will be at the end of Summer 2014.

We're looking for more volunteers to get involved in building and maintaining our web sites: if you can code or design stuff, we'd be very interested in your help.

Initially there's work to be done on our main site (especially our ticket sales system), but we're also planning on writing or adapting conference scheduling and volunteer systems so they don't suck so much.

Everything we make is open source, and our main site is a relatively modern affair in Python/Flask/SQLAlchemy/Jinja. A fair chunk of the organising team are web developers by trade, but we don't have time to build everything ourselves because we're too busy with the rest of the organising work.

If you're interested in any of this, please get involved! We don't need a massive amount of commitment - we're happy with a bit of help here and there.

How do I help?

We're having an initial kickoff meeting at 8pm on Monday 9th December 2013, at London Hackspace, 447 Hackney Road, E2 9DY. Everyone is welcome; we'd love to see some new faces. Beer (and probably food) will be provided.

If you can't make it, you can drop into our IRC channel, #emfcamp-web on Freenode, or join our mailing list and introduce yourself.
