I live in Derby with my fiancée and daughter, and 2014 will be the first EMF that we will attend. We went to OHM last year, which was awesome!
I work in IT, setting up new networks and hardware, and doing general troubleshooting in Europe for a global company.
I'm involved OSS stuff, including (but not limited to), OpenStreetMap, Wireshark, ProFTPd and CDCat.
We have started going to our local "Makers" group and have learnt about Inkscape and Laser cutters, and the Ultimaker 2 3D printer. Recently we also did a course on furniture making using plywood.
At the start of June, we bought an old military truck and want to kit it out with loads of cool gadgets :)
