  • Ofcom license application has been submitted for the primary point to point radio link.
  • Invoice expected this week to secure rental of the primary radio link - £687.50+VAT (50%) is due now as a deposit.

Questions:

  • 2.4GHz bands are likely to be extremely congested and homebrew kit (e.g. nordic modules, RF helicopters etc) are likely to interfere with our careful Wifi plans. Can we have something prominent asking people to request channel allocations from the NOC?
  • ClearAir technology on our wireless controller and access points will try to maintain clear channels for Wifi by actively knocking off unauthorised 2.4GHz users (including non-Wifi uses of 2.4GHz) so this needs to be coordinated.
  • We can allocate frequency/ies for ad-hoc non-Wifi use depending on what frequencies people's equipment is capable of. It will be useful to know this in advance to aid planning.
